The festival will showcase foreign language films for the Qatari audience.

Doha, Qatar – The European Drive-In Film Festival, a drive-in cinema experience, will take place between Nov. 26 to Nov. 29 in the Doha Festival City parking lot.

With an aim to promote cultural togetherness and lift community spirits during the difficult times we are going through right now, the festival will showcase nine foreign language films from nine countries.

The films, which will have English subtitles, were chosen specifically by the Embassies of Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden and Switzerland.

A first-of-its-kind experience in Qatar straight out of the 1950’s, guests can drive to, park up, and watch the movie in the DHFC mall parking lot, one of the strategic partners of the European Embassies, with a super large screen and amazing sound.

Open to all residents and citizens of Qatar, the festival will provide a safe cinematic experience as all precautionary health and safety measures will be adhered to including social distancing. Each day will host three screenings. The first movie is a Swedish film ‘The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared’ on Nov 26 at 4:30 p.m. which will open the Festival for the invited guests and media.

Guests can bring their own snacks to enjoy during the movie and can also order from food and beverage outlets from Doha Festival City. The orders will be delivered to guests in their cars by our exclusive partner E-butler. Nestle, the event’s platinum sponsor, will also be providing snacks and surprises to the guests.

The tickets will be free-of-cost and on a first come first serve basis. They can be ordered online on https://eurofilmfestival.qa/ starting Nov 15 onwards.
