A private room, wifi and three square meals of your choosing — these are some of the facilities a person under observation for coronavirus symptoms will receive in Qatar.

According to the Ministry of Public Health’s educational materials on coronavirus, if a person is suspected of having contracted the disease, he or she will be placed under observation for 14 days in a “guest house”.
“We hope to make your stay at the guest house facility as comfortable and enjoyable as possible,” the ministry says in the material.

Water, tea and coffee will also be served at the facility, which will offer free laundry services as well.
While inside the guest house, the occupants shouldn’t leave their room unnecessarily and a face mask is a must when they are out. MoPH’s team will check the body temperatures and other flu-like symptoms each morning. In case, the occupants developed a fever or had difficulty in breathing, they will be taken to a hospital for further investigations.

While visitors are not allowed, only fresh food and restaurant deliveries will be let into the room.

Sharp objects are not permitted.

Inside the guest house, the occupants will be encouraged to maintain proper hand hygiene and follow cough etiquette.
