Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), crowned Qatari horseman Bassem Hassan Mohamed, winner of the Doha Grand Prix; and the Dutchman Harrie Smolders, winner of the Longines Global Tour Championships, which was hosted by Al Shaqab, a member of QF, for three consecutive days.

Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser crowns Qatari rider Bassem Hassan Mohammed as the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Doha winner, and Dutch rider Harrie Smolders as the Longines Global Champions Tour overall winner.

HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani, Chairman of Qatar Olympic Committee, also attended Saturday’s competitions. Bassem won the title after finishing first in the Doha Grand Prix final of the last round of the world championship, with a time of 35.31 seconds. Dutchman Smolders won the championship with 278 points in 15 rounds started in Miami last April.
