beIN Sports, the global sports channel, is set to welcome the return of the UEFA Champions League starting from Friday, August 7 with a host of much-anticipated live games.
Viewers to enjoy exclusively across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), as well as the chance to watch heavyweights Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint Germain in action competing for the coveted trophy.
The Union of European Football Association (UEFA) decided that the most prestigious European club football competition (the UEFA Champions League) will safely resume starting from August 7 – after it was put on hold following the Covid-19 global pandemic.
In a completely new format, viewers and fans will get to see the best teams in Europe competing against each other over 90 minutes in just over two weeks of football (7 August to 23 August). A total of 11 matches will be played in just 16 days – with the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final all played in Portugal and in single-leg fixtures.
Four matches remain in the round of 16 second leg of the UEFA Champions League. beIN SPORTS’ main studio coverage for the UEFA Champions League will be on beIN Sports HD1 and HD2 for Arabic; beIN Sports HD11 and HD12 for English; and beIN SPORTS HD14 for French; as well as beIN Sports’ 4K channel – providing viewers with exhilarating trilingual coverage.
Each game will also be available with an option for enhanced audio atmosphere. beIN guests and talent will include legends Mohamed Aboutrika, Wael Gomaa; Algerian Lakhdar Berriche; Tunisian Tariq Dhiab; former Moroccan football star Yousef Chippo; and many others.
