It’s that time of the year when locals and expats head out to observe Qatar Sport Day that falls on second Tuesday of February. We have listed down a few sports activities and lots more other cultural events happening in and around Doha.
Sleeping Beauty Pantomime
Doha Players and its artists will present the traditional tale of Sleeping Beauty with a comic twist in the form of a pantomime. A fun-filled family show with an enthusiastic cast of 50 adults, teens and children drawn from 20 nationalities; 50 more individuals assisting both behind the scenes and front of house promises entertainment to kids and adults alike. The tickets priced at QR100 are available on QTickets.
When: Thursday 6th, at 7:00 pm, Friday 7th, at 2:30 pm and 7:00 pm; & Saturday 8th, at 2:30 pm.

Vintage Cars Exhibition
A unique vintage car exhibition which allows visitors to pass through the 12 vehicles that could be seen plying on Qatar’s roads in the 70’s, 80’s and 90s, are spread around NMoQ’s Baraha Square. The exhibition is divided into three sections, public transport vehicles, private cars, government vehicles used in the past.

DFI Movie Screening – Marona’s Fantastic Tale
Marona may be small, but she has a big heart — and also a big heart-shaped nose. Marona’s tale, ”is a expressionistic view of the world through the eyes of a stray dog who wants nothing but love, as he gets lost after an accident. The movie will be in French / Arabic with English subtitles.

Souq Waqif Honey Exhibition
Attracting a large number of visitors, the Honey exhibition has participants from of over 150 companies from 37 countries showcasing more than 50 varieties of honey. Exhibition also will allow residents to get honey tested for a small fee.
When: Saturday – Thursday | 8am-2pm, 3pm-9pm; Fridays, 3pm-4pm.

Sports Month at Doha Festival City
Doha Festival City will be hosting a fun-packed month of sports and fitness activities for their shoppers and visitors for all ages, both indoor and outdoors.

Sport Day at Aspire
Registrations are open for over 20 unique events are lined up at Aspire Park for the National Sport Day that will be held on February 11. Apart from fun run and regular fitness classes, there is also a climbing activity, run & bike and other recreation games lined up.

Fairy Land
Tawar Mall promises to recreate an enchanting valley of magic fairies every weekend.

Halal Qatar Festival
The Halal festival revolves around the theme of heritage, deep within the desert of Qatar of breeding sheep and goats and living a simple life around the dunes. It will also showcase various traditional events, recreational and educational activities.

Chinese food festival and Culture performance
To celebrate the Chinese New Year Dragon Mart will put on a exhibition of Chinese food and cultural performance. The performances include Dragon dance , Lion dance, Kung fu tea, Chinese musical performance and others. Free Entry!

B Square Mall Winter Bazaar
Winter bazaar at B Square Mall includes homemade local and imported food items and other products.

MIA Park Bazaar
A weekend market which is a modern take on Qatar’s old souq tradition will have around 50 stalls offering a wide variety of products. The bazaar at Museum of Islamic Art park will have stalls selling ready-to-wear clothes, caps, footwear, shayla, sunglasses, bags, jewellery, watches, cosmetics, fragrances, and other accessories. The stalls representing home-based businesses also sold home display items and sumptuous home-cooked cuisines to the visitors.

Metro Street Food – Food Fest
First ever outdoor metro event hosted by Q sports, with combination of food, beverages and a mini golf course setup at the DECC Metro station.
