The Philippine embassy has said it will be temporarily closed, from today until further notice, after a family member of one of its personnel tested positive for Covid-19.
In the interest of the safety of the general public, the Philippine embassy stopped its services earlier today (August 11) and will be temporarily closed starting August 12, until further notice, the advisory states.
Despite the closure, the embassy will remain accessible through the following means in case of queries and concerns:
- E-mail – doha.pe@dfa.gov.ph
- Hotline – 55275123 (for consular concerns such as passport, civil registry, marriage, authentication, etc); and 66446303 (for police cases and other concerns)
- Facebook – Philippine Embassy in Qatar
The embassy will inform the Filipino community and the general public of further developments once available, according to to the advisory signed by ambassador Alan L Timbayan.
