The Minstry of Education and Higher Education posted a status on is Twitter page, regarding fake news that has been going around social media regarding distance learning. The Ministry reaffirmed that studies in schools will continue as they are in the current form, and their main aim is to provide a safe and healthy environment in schools by ensuring that all COVID-19 protocols and precautionary measures are followed strictly.

The Ministry also urged the public to seek information only from official sources and not from fake news circulated on social media.
