If master sword breaks, you can either wait, like normal, or repair it, costing 10 rupees for every minute it will take to repair, rounded up (5 minutes= 50 rupees, 7 minutes= 70 rupees, 5 minutes and 25 seconds= 60 rupees, and so on) Ocarina had Deku Sticks and the Giants Knife.
